Calvin Elfring played for the Lethbridge Val Matteoti Golden Hawks in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League during the 1990-92 season. After playing for Colorado College in the NCAA, he was selected in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft by the Quebec Nordiques in round 7, #165 overall. By 2001, Calvin ventured overseas to the 1st Division German league. He currently plays defence for the Straubing Tigers, DEL (German Ice Hockey League).
